Nanticoke River is certainly one of the best rivers for bass fishing the eastern shore. On weekends, you see a tournament fisherman for several Member States because of the river fish of the "big enough "to adapt to the boat 50-150 events. I have found in breach of the river down to three key elements to help new fishermen to avoid being overwhelmed by this river size. These are the most important river / Seaford, Broad Brook and eventually Marshyhope Creek. Each of these areas have advantages and disadvantages of the tournament fishermen and weekend fishermen people.

Broad creek

This creek is very popular, but there are too many "do not wake up" the borders Phillips Landing and Laurel which hard to "run and gun" tournaments. Broad Creek is protected from heavy wind and water clarity is usually closer to Laurel to go.

Some of the best fishing can be found in characters # 4 - 5 and 7 of the creek renders the whole turns at Bethel. Just past Bethel Bridge is a small pond on the right is easily accessible from a river. This is a real hotspot hours and a guaranteed spot during the fish spawn. In addition, you can see trouble down tons of trees and finally the pair of bridges and the spillway in Laurel. This area is all good, but slow going because of shipping and the barriers to a narrow channel.

Seaford, and before

The main river and Seaford area will jump spot spot very easy, because the river is wider with minimal restrictions. You have to barge traffic, and many pleasure boaters and the dreaded jet skis to contend with, but fishing is great. My favorite spots are the boat docks; forests ferry line, PAD, and all lines of very small feeder brooks. Seaford area is heavy industry, all Paalutuksen clusters of barges, bulkheads, railroad bridge and a number of good pond areas. Between the railroad bridge and make Blades bridge is a large marina, great fishing and winter to spawn. Blades above the drawbridge on the left is another backwater area of the dam leads to good fishing at times. Moving on even River Past Route 13 Bridge the river is divided into two. Both are great in summer and autumn, but requires time and caution should be examined. Just look closely and you will notice many new areas where the grass. Remember when fishing at Nanticoke Tide turns in the previous Sharptown and Vienna as the Seaford thus take advantage of that 'golden hour', when the bite is strong.

Marshyhope Creek

Marshyhope fish, as distinct from the river and it is easy to move when the brake pads are worn. In winter and early season several bass boats have been hit by mud thinking they had the channel. This creek is always the best for me on falling tide, with the last two hours is fantastic. Tournament fishermen are planted brush piles, weighted down wood pallets, and even rock-piles to improve in certain areas. These are easy to find to watch Get the depth and slowly Cruising brake pad line drops and the creek mouth. Several old wooden boat that will destroy the creek to fish, and some are visible at low tide so the GPS signal. Fish, each stream can be found within the tidal mouth. Beaver cabins are really bass magnets of this creek and all the wood you find out the PAD to hold the line on falling Tide Bass consistently. Also fish shallow bridge pilings, docks and rip rap, all you see, which helps to break the current. Moving up a narrow wooded section examines the precisely the left and you will see a small pond called "Peggy's Hole." This is such a great spot during the spawn are often put a "taboo" tournaments, boat race to avoid it. Bass spawn much earlier than most people realize this pond. Moving towards Federalsburg you find the sand pit on the left side is also spawn in the area, which can be very good. Federalsburg has a new ramp is a small marina, the boats are never tied to to it, but is a good fishing spot. All close to the rip rap is good too. In the autumn always continue to fish all the way up past Federalsburg, and the fish are there as the water cools. Now downsides Marshyhope is a really strong current, not Muddy easily when it rains or shipping and is quite long from the Phillip's Landing ramps or Seaford.
