What kind of reel to use when fishing Kenai River Kings?
I'm fishing Kenai River this summer (late June), just wondering what reel would be the best fit for this. I'm going to wade in the river, no boat fishing (maybe a little bank fishing around deep locations). I get an ugly stick 8.5 "rod, Discus but I'm still up in the air. I have Shimano thorium in 1920, would be that the work of this type of fishing? In addition, how this reel to throw, fishing guy said Dicks Sporting Goods throw really well, but you never know these guys. Thanks
